How can I see my active discount?

To check what discount is applied to your upcoming order:

1. Log into your Simmer account

2. Click on ‘My Deliveries’

3. At the top, next to your selected delivery date, you’ll see the discount—for example:“30% off applied to this order”

Discounts are applied automatically—you’ll always see them reflected before your order is billed.

Do you have a referral programme?

Not yet—but it’s on the roadmap.

We’re actively working on a referral programme so you can share the Simmer love with friends and get rewarded. For now, there’s no official scheme—but it’s coming soon.

Your subscription cost depends on the portion size and number of meals you choose each week. Meals start from £7.49 each, with a minimum of 6 meals per order.

Here’s how it works:

• Lean – lighter in calories, great for cutting or smaller appetites

• Standard – balanced for everyday eating

• Large – higher in calories and protein for bigger appetites or active days

💡 You can change your portion size, meal count, or delivery frequency anytime from your account.

First-time customer? You’ll automatically get free delivery on your first order.

When does payment go through?

• Your first payment is taken immediately at checkout

• For future boxes, payment is taken every Tuesday at 1pm

• We’ll charge the card or payment method saved to your account

Once payment is taken, your order is locked in and prepped—so be sure to make any changes before Tuesday 1pm if needed.

How do I know which meals are vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free?

We make it simple to find meals that match your needs.

To filter your options:

1. Log into your Simmer account

2. Head to ‘My Diet’ under Account

3. Tick your dietary preferences (e.g. vegan, gluten-free)

4. Save your changes

💡 Once set, your weekly menu will only show meals that match your selections. Each meal also includes full ingredient and allergen info.

Yes—some of our meals are suitable for people who need to avoid gluten.

However, please note:

• All meals are prepared in a shared kitchen

• While we take precautions, there is a risk of cross-contamination

If you are coeliac or highly sensitive to gluten, please consider this before ordering.

What if I don’t like a certain ingredient?

While we don’t offer customisation at the ingredient level, you’ll always be able to see the full list of ingredients for each meal before selecting.

You can:

• Choose only the meals that suit your taste

• Use the ‘My Diet’ section in your account to filter meals

• Skip the week if nothing on the menu works for you

💡 Our menu changes weekly—so even if one week’s not your style, the next might be spot on.

To filter out meals with allergens, just update your settings here:

1. Log in to your Simmer account

2. Go to ‘Account’, then select ‘My Diet’

3. Choose the allergens you want to avoid

4. Hit ‘Save Changes’

Once set, we’ll automatically hide meals that contain those allergens when you browse the menu.

If you have a food allergy, please check the ingredient list and allergen information on each meal carefully before ordering.

We take precautions, but our meals are made in a facility that also handles common allergens, so there’s always a small risk of cross-contamination.

You’ll find options that are:

No—our meals are 100% free from artificial preservatives, additives, and processed fillers.

Here’s how we keep them fresh without compromising quality:

• Meals are cooked and immediately chilled to lock in freshness

• Packaging is vacuum-sealed and tamper-proof to keep out contaminants

• Everything is made in small, weekly batches—so you’re eating food made for you, not stockpiled weeks ahead

We fully comply with UK food safety laws (including the Food Information Regulations 2014), and we never use undeclared additives. What you see on the label is what’s in your meal—nothing else.

Do you offer breakfast?

Yes—we offer rotating breakfast options every week to add variety and convenience to your mornings.

Look out for things like:

• Banana pancakes

• Protein oats

• Breakfast burritos

• Shakshuka-style bowls

These can be added right alongside your main meals when you build your box. Breakfasts are usually ready in 2–3 minutes and make a great grab-and-go option.

Here’s a quick guide, whether your meal is fresh from the fridge or straight from the freezer:

Microwave (from chilled):
• Peel back the corners of the plastic film
• Heat on high for 3 minutes
• Let stand for 1 minute before eating

Microwave (from frozen):
• Same method, but heat for 7.5 minutes
• Always check the centre is piping hot

Oven (from chilled):
• Preheat to 180°C (fan)
• Peel back the corners of the film
• Bake for 25 minutes

Oven (from frozen):
• Same as above, but bake for 45 minutes

💡 Full heating instructions are always on the label—just match your method, and you’re good to go.

Yes—our trays are safe for both the microwave and oven.

Here’s how to use them:

• Microwave: Peel back the plastic seal slightly and heat the meal directly in the tray
• Oven: Preheat to 180°C, place the tray on a baking sheet, and bake

🔥 Just don’t use the grill or broiler setting

♻️ Sustainability note:
The tray is made from bagasse, a durable plant-based fibre that’s compostable in many areas. The plastic film is food-safe and recyclable with soft plastics.

What kind of containers are Simmer meals packed in?

That said, we rely on DPD for deliveries, so there may occasionally be changes depending on their schedule.

Can I send Happy eats as a gift?
